Welcome to the Leaside Baseball Elite Camp
About the Leaside Elite Baseball Camp
Great Person. Great Athlete. Great Player.
The Leaside Baseball Elite Camp helps baseball players take their game to the next level.
The Leaside Baseball Elite Camp instruction is built for players looking for additional specialty training to sharpen their skills and get extra practice time. The instructional program is designed to develop individual hitting, pitching and fielding skills, as well as strength and general conditioning. Additionally, the program promotes holistic development, good sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, and respect for opponents.
Our seasoned instructional team is University and Elite Coaches and Players who have trained hundreds of players to be competitive on the field, and help them aspire to reach their full potential.
The camp is open to boys and girls that are on either Elite, Rep, or Select baseball teams, ages 13 to 16 years old.
If you are over the age of 16 and are interested in our programming, there may be opportunities for you to be a counsellor-in- training (CIT). Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
The Elite Camp operates weekly throughout the summer at Howard Talbot Park near Eglinton and Bayview Avenues in Leaside, Toronto. Hours of operation are 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Leaside Elite Baseball Camp Program
Age | 13 to 16 years old during the camp
Baseball Experience | Plays on a Rep or Elite team
For these campers with advanced experience, the program is tailored to provide elite skill development through tenured instruction, high repetitions, and overall baseball immersion. It is designed to develop individual hitting, pitching and fielding skills; strength and general conditioning; as well as promote holistic development, good sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, and respect for opponents. Please note: this camp runs on the big diamond. There’s a wide range of size and ability in this age group, and not everyone will be ready for the jump from a smaller field. Rain Day Activities
A summer sprinkle certainly won’t ruin a camp day, but if the weather is stronger than that, we may need to cancel. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions and school permits, we are not able to provide an indoor alternative in the case of inclement weather.
- If it is raining before the start of camp and is expected to last for the duration of the day, camp will be canceled. Parents will be sent a communication by 8 am.
- If it is raining before the start of camp but is NOT expected to last for the duration of the day, the camp will be open. Parents will be sent a communication by 8 am and can send their campers as they wish. Late arrivals will be directed to call the designated staff to meet them at the camp entrance for the check-in process.
- If it is NOT raining before the start of camp BUT if it interrupts the camp activities, campers will seek shelter in their respective group tents. If the rain lasts longer than 1 hour, camp will be canceled. Parents will be sent a communication to collect their camper.
Please note refunds will not be available for weather cancellations.
Hot Day Relief
We take the dangers of overexposure to the sun very seriously. We will provide breaks throughout the day for shade, water refills, and sunscreen application.
In the event you need to cancel the camper’s registration, a refund or credit may be available.
- If written cancellation is made to email@example.com by May 31st, 2022, a full refund is available.
- If written cancellation is made to firstname.lastname@example.org after May 31st, 2022, a credit will be applied. Please note credits are subject to a $25 administrative fee (per player and per week) deducted from the total credit.
If you need to cancel due to health-related reasons, we will provide you with a credit to be valid for one calendar year and applicable to Leaside Baseball house league, camps or clinics.
In the event we are unable to run our summer camp due to COVID-19 or any other reason, you will be provided a full refund.
