Howard Birnie | President and Director
Howie has been the president of Leaside Baseball since 1973. Howie started playing baseball in 1952, and has coached teams to seven City Championships, one Provincial Championship and one National Championship. Howie also had tenures as the president of the Toronto and Ontario Baseball Associations. Howie also umpired at the highest levels of amateur baseball. He is a member of the Leaside and Toronto Sports Halls of Fame, the Ontario Baseball Hall of Fame and Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. He is also a recipient of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Neal Prabhu | Vice President and Director
Neal has both a son and daughter playing baseball at Leaside.
Neal is an Architect and Associate Professor at OCAD University.
Ron Kirschner | Treasurer and Director
Ron had two sons progress through the Leaside Baseball program.
Ron owns and runs a business software company.
Sasha Emmons | Director
Sasha has a son playing Elite baseball in Leaside.
Sasha is an executive in the media and publishing industry.
Geoff Lamb | Director
Geoff has a son playing rep baseball in Leaside and is the head coach of the 2012 AAA team.
Geoff is media executive with experience in athlete and talent representation, sponsorship sales and naming rights.
Dave Jones | Director
Trevor Lawson | Director
Trevor had sons playing baseball at Leaside at the Elite and Rep levels.
Trevor is a Partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP
Michael Packham | Director
Mike has a daughter playing baseball with Leaside and is a coach in the All Girls Baseball House League.
Mike is a commercial real estate executive and owns his own global advisory firm.
Julian Weinrib | Director
Julian has a son playing rep baseball at Leaside and is the head coach of the 2014 AAA team. He also played at the rep level for 6 years at Leaside.
Julian is an IT executive at the University of Toronto, working on academic and student systems.
Lee Mosbaugh | Manager of Baseball Programming
Lee has been a staple in the Leaside Baseball community for over a decade as a coach, program manager, and player. He is currently the Director of our Summer Camp, and Winter Development programs.
Lee is also the head coach of the 16U Elite team and is a large part of the leadership group with our elite program.
Lexi Rumer | Manager of Program Operations
Lexi has been with the LBA since 2019. Starting out with the Summer Camp, she quickly began running other programs including Fall and Spring House League and the Winter Development Clinics.
Taylor Lau | Umpire Coordinator
Taylor has had leadership roles within the Leaside Baseball Association and Leaside Baseball Camp for several years.
When not coordinating umpires for the LBA Taylor manages Game Presentation and Talent Management for MLSE!
Ryan Ricci | Umpire-in-Chief
Ryan joined Leaside with the 15U ELITE program and currently plays on the 22U Junior team. In addition to playing at Leaside, he plays for the Toronto Metropolitan University Varsity baseball team.
Ryan’s umpiring career began when he was 14 and is currently a Level 3 and Umpire in Cheif.
